Next up in our FBY full-length interview series is bold innovator Jill Miller.
Our history goes back to the packed little room at Forrest Yoga Circle, where in 1995 I wondered who this 22 year-old in the corner was —glasses off, obsessively engaged in her own inquiry into embodiment.
It was clear to me then that for her everything else faded away into a deep and fascinated focus on her body as a vehicle for both personal healing and an experiential/intellectual understanding she could share with the world.
This journey has since taken her into creating a singular approach to physical health that integrates yoga, bodywork, specially created equipment and an exploration of fitness, healthy range of motion, and the deep embrace of body-as-psyche.
For this iconoclastic pioneer, movement, body awareness, and finding the pattern that connects in her incessant and insatiable cross-disciplinary study is stimulating an evolution in yoga that may be resisted by some, but ultimately cannot be denied!

Jill Miller is the co-founder of Tune Up Fitness Worldwide and creator of the corrective exercise format Yoga Tune Up® and The Roll Model Method®. With more than 28 years of study in fitness, yoga therapy and anatomy, she is a pioneer in forging relevant links between the worlds of fitness, yoga, massage, and pain-management. Her innovative techniques have catapulted her to a sought after leader in the field of mind-body fitness and pain relief wellness.
